Miles L. Terry, Partner

Miles Terry focuses his practice on  corporate law, business formation, estate planning, and non-profit law. Miles practices law from the perspective that his clients want him to fully understand theiraffairs, quickly define success, and achieve results. He works to stay ahead of the legal issues and his client's potential adversaries, and believes that he must always be the most prepared and informed person in the room.

As a law student at Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Miles served as a staff member on the inaugural edition of the Regent Journal of Law and Public Policy. He was also a member of the James Kent American Inn of Court; the Phi Alpha Delta International Law Fraternity, George Washington Chapter; and the Webster-Calhoun Debate Society. Additionally, Miles studied international law abroad – in Strasbourg, France, and Haifa and Jerusalem, Israel.

Also while a law student, Miles clerked for the American Center for Law and Justice, a national Constitutional legal organization devoted to the protection of religious liberties. He worked on issues of law and public policy and assisted on the case, Pleasant Grove v. Summum, argued by ACLJ’s Chief Counsel Dr. Jay Sekulow, before the U.S. Supreme Court in the fall of 2008. In the spring of 2009, the Court issued a 9-0 ruling in favor of the ACLJ’s client, the City of Pleasant Grove.

Miles’s career has widely spanned the areas of law, real estate, business, non-profits, and politics. He is a licensed real estate broker in South Carolina, has served as an adjunct instructor in American Government at Greenville Technical College, and has been involved in many successful local and state political campaigns.

A twelfth generation South Carolinian, Miles was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina.
